Yes. On the Growth and Pro plans you can scan barcodes with a USB or Bluetooth handheld scanner, or with your phone camera in the Shopify mobile app, to count stock during a stocktake, build a purchase order, and receive a shipment — matching by barcode with a SKU fallback so you never type SKUs by hand. Barcode scanning is also included free during your 14-day trial.
When does Shopify's built-in inventory management shut down?
Shopify is removing its built-in inventory management tool on August 31, 2026. After that date, purchase orders, supplier records, and forecasting data will no longer be accessible through native Shopify tools.
How does demand forecasting work?
EZstock calculates daily sales velocity per variant from your Shopify order history, then multiplies by your supplier lead time to show exactly how many days of stock remain — flagging anything that will stock out before your next delivery arrives.
